A full-text database provides the entire text of the journal, book, report or newspaper articles indexed in the database. This text may be a PDF scan of the article and/or the text in HTML, depending upon the database. This is in contrast to indexing and abstracting databases, which only provide a search facility and abstracts, and will direct you to the text at another location (either print or digital).
Full-text articles can be printed, saved, or emailed to yourself for your research and study, but you cannot make them available to anybody who is not a student nor can you re-publish them (e.g on a website).
