The University Library's electronic databases provide students and staff of Notre Dame with access to thousands of journals, as well as e-books, images and other resources, which would not be possible in print. If you are researching a particular topic, searching our electronic databases is a great way to find relevant journal articles. You can enter search terms that describe your topic, and retrieve articles which can then be printed, saved or emailed to yourself.

FiNDit searches across the majority of the Library's resources - print and electronic. A database search however, is more targeted and specific than a FiNDit search, and can narrow down your results very efficiently - if you know which database to use.

A list of all databases can be found on the library’s eResources page. For information about which databases are best for your subject area, consult the library’s Subject Guides. See links below to access these resources.
