I can't edit my reference in EndNote 20 - using the summary panel.

The summary and editing panel has disappeared. How do I get it back?

Answer

In EndNote 20, the Summary panel is located at the right of the EndNote library window. It shows reference details, a preview of an article in the PDF panel and a preview of the generated citation. By clicking on the Edit tab you can edit a citation's details.

If you inadvertently close the Summary panel, you can open it again by double clicking on any reference in the centre Reference List panel.
