When using a Kindle and you need to use page/location numbers in an in-text reference, APA recommends that you "name the major sections (chapter, section, and paragraph number; abbreviate if titles are long)". An example looks like this:

Not all eBooks have DOIs. The reference list format for an eBook on an e-reader without a DOI is:
