PowerPoint or other presentations are not discussed in detail in APA 7th. In general, you should adapt the usual APA rules for citing sources and formatting to suit a presentation format as best as possible.
You can cite sources on individual slides with an in-text citation, e.g., (Smith, 2020) and a separate Reference List slide at the end, or by including the full reference at the bottom of each slide. Check with your lecturer on their preferences.
When using images or tables, it’s common to include a figure or table number and title, but again, consult your lecturer for how much detail is expected.
Because APA wasn’t designed for slide presentations, some elements (like font size, colour scheme, or animations) are flexible. If a rule can be reasonably applied, aim to follow it—but where it’s unclear, use your best judgement and follow any instructions provided by your lecturer.
