On Monday 10th June 2024, Leganto will be upgraded to a new and improved interface for both students and academic staff.

While the interface will look quite different, the process for creating and updating reading lists is essentially the same. A few changes that will affect academic staff are outlined below, and will be reflected in the updated Academic Support Guide (linked further below).

Uploading PDFs

To add a document you will now select the "upload file" option from the add items menu.

Previously there were several clicks required to upload your scanned PDF and complete the Copyright declaration requirements. Now, when you upload a PDF you will be prompted to complete the required information on the same screen. This will allow the library to complete the necessary Copyright checks.

Adding Student Notes

Notes can be created while adding your resource to your list, or by going to the Full Details screen once the item has already been added. You will find student notes under the Item Actions tab.

Publishing your list

The button to publish your list is now called "My List is Ready." As before, when you click this button it will publish your reading list for students and notify the library that your list is ready for processing.

Library Status

You will no longer see if a resource in your list is "complete." You will only see processing statuses (e.g. Library Processing).

If you would like to discuss the changes or ask the Library for support, please see the Help page of the Leganto guide linked below.
