Like all information sources, the content generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools like ChatGPT, should be treated with caution.

These tools generate content by reusing text sources from openly available online information sources.  Chatbots are trained on the information provided by its users and openly available information from the web at a particular point of time. Not only could these sources be unreliable but AI tools can generate responses which are factually incorrect, a process known as 'hallucinating'. The information generated needs to be cross checked with other reputable sources and should not be taken at face value. Sources you cite in your assignments should be sighted by you directly and it is essential that you write up your assignment using your own words.
