Yes, Library staff can make a PDF a read-only file that students cannot download from their Leganto Reading List.
Add your PDF file to Leganto following the instructions for adding a scanned chapter (see link at the bottom of this page), and then follow the steps below to include a note to Library staff to make this request:
- Once you have uploaded the file and completed the item details, click add.
- Hover over the citation in your reading list and click on full details
- Click the Library Discussion tab and write your comment.
- Click Send
You might also like to add a public note to the citation to indicate to your students that the file is read-only:
- When adding your citation, add a message in the Note to students field:
Tip: You can add the note when you click into the details screen to add the the note to the Library - you'll find it under the item actions tab.
