Yes, Library staff can make a PDF a read-only file that students cannot download from their Leganto Reading List. 

Add your PDF file to Leganto following the instructions for adding a scanned chapter (see link at the bottom of this page), and then follow the steps below to include a note to Library staff to make this request:

  1. Once you have added your citation and attached the file, click save and close
  2. Navigate to the citation in your reading list and click on the title to open the details screen (this is also how you will complete the necessary Copyright declaration steps).
  3. In the right hand panel, click the Notes to/from Library tab and write your comment.
  4. Click Submit Comment 


You might also like to add a public note to the citation to indicate to your students that the file is read-only:

  1. When adding your citation, add a message in the Student note field:
