Yes, Library staff can make a PDF a read-only file that students cannot download from their Leganto Reading List.
Add your PDF file to Leganto following the instructions for adding a scanned chapter (see link at the bottom of this page), and then follow the steps below to include a note to Library staff to make this request:
- Once you have added your citation and attached the file, click save and close
- Navigate to the citation in your reading list and click on the title to open the details screen (this is also how you will complete the necessary Copyright declaration steps).
- In the right hand panel, click the Notes to/from Library tab and write your comment.
- Click Submit Comment
You might also like to add a public note to the citation to indicate to your students that the file is read-only:
