Where can I find academic help with maths at the university?

You can get academic support with maths from Student Success.

If you’re needing some extra resources and assistance with maths during your studies, please check out some of these support services:

Ed online maths forum – come join our new, fun, and friendly discussion forum! Built to facilitate Q&As, you can type your maths problems, or even upload a photo of your work, at any time that suits you. To get started, simply sign up for Ed using your UNDA email address over at: https://edstem.org/join/npVEUX
Maths Learning Hub (MLH) – we have a physical drop-in space on the Broadway Sydney campus where you can just come in and ask us your maths-related questions, as well as work independently on your problems and get help along the way. The MLH operates 10am-6pm Wednesdays and Thursdays and is located at Pioneer House Level 5. (Closed until further notice due to COVID-19 NSW Health regulations)
Group support sessions – run on a ‘by-demand’ basis, groups of students with common maths support needs and goals can organise weekly sessions with a Mathematics Learning Advisor who will help facilitate collaborative discussion and interaction, either on-campus (Sydney) or online via Zoom. Get your classmates together and email maths.support@nd.edu.au to register your interest!
One-on-one online support – students who need individual and tailored support can book an online Zoom session with a Mathematics Learning Advisor or any of our other Learning Advisors at: https://bookings.library.nd.edu.au/appointments/ndsc
MathsOnline learning resource – free access is available (via referral/appointment) for students who would like some extra online materials. The site has video and exercise modules based upon the NSW school syllabus, to help supplement your maths studies or revision. Inquire with Student Success for more details: maths.support@nd.edu.au
