Samsung users - known issue with the Therapeutic Guidelines app
There is a known issue with Samsung users running Android version 13 or lower with Samsung Internet set as their default browser. These users will need to change their default mobile browser to a different browser (e.g. Google Chrome) to be able to enter the access key in the mobile app. Therapeutic Guidelines is working on fixing this issue.
What is the Therapeutic Guidelines app?
The Therapeutic Guidelines (eTG) App can be used online and offline, making it easy to find important information when you need it.
In February 2025, Therapeutic Guidelines released a new version of the app. This update allows for more frequent content updates.
To access the app from off-campus, remember to create a new access key every 6 months.
On-campus access
If your mobile device is connected to the University Wi-Fi, you will automatically gain access when you open the Therapeutic Guidelines app.
Off-campus access
1. To access Therapeutic Guidelines, use your mobile browser to go to the Library Databases list.
- Click on Therapeutic Guidelines. Log in with your Notre Dame credentials through OpenAthens.
2. After logging in, copy the access key
- Click on Menu > Access by University of Notre Dame (CAUL) > Copy Access Key.
- You will see a message that says "Access Key copied to clipboard."
If you don’t see the access key option, try opening an incognito or private window in your mobile browser.
Tip
Save your access key in a secure location, such as a notes app. This key remains valid for up to 6 months and can be reused if you change devices or reinstall the application.
3. Download the app and log in with the access key
- First, download the Therapeutic Guidelines app from the Apple or Google Play Store.
- Next, open the app on your device.
- Click on the Menu and select the 'Access Key' button.
- Paste your access key and click Submit.
- You will see a confirmation message that says "Access key set."
If you encounter any issues, don’t hesitate to contact the Library for assistance.
