While we have 'No Smoking' signs outside the library, this unfortunately does not deter some people from smoking on the street outside the library . This in turn does allow the smell of smoke to make its way into the quiet study area and into other parts of the library. Please note that library staff do occasionally police this area and requests have been made for the ash trays to be moved further away to discourage smoking.
St Benedict's library will continue to to work towards finding a permanent solution to this problem.
