There are several ways to determine if a given document is a journal article. For example, it will likely have a volume and issue number and two titles - the article title and the title of the journal that the article is published in.  Another way to check is by searching for the document in FiNDit, using its title.

Type (or paste) the article title into the FiNDit search box (enclose the title in double quotation marks).

This search should return the result you are looking for, and show you whether it is a journal article, book, or ebook, conference paper or another resource type. Click on the title to access the article. (If it is a hardcopy book, the record will show the shelf location and library(s) in which it is held nationally by the University; if it is an eBook, click the title to open the book.)
