Usually the APA referencing style requires you to include both in-text citations and a separate reference list at the end.
However, you mention that your task is to compile a portfolio of journal articles and newspaper articles. If this is a physical compilation, my recommendation is that you provide just an APA-style reference list of all sources at the end of the portfolio. However, be guided by your tutor/lecturer.
Alternatively, if this portfolio is actually a single, integrated document (more like an essay) you could insert in-text citations for each source, as well as a final reference list.
