To round off 2024 and ring in a fresh new look for 2025, the Library has gone live with a new interface for our eResources A-Z list, now called Library Databases.

The new Library Databases list includes several features which we hope you find useful.

Only what you need

We've made it easier to find what you need, by allowing you to refine the list of databases to only those that are relevant to your area of study. "Top Choices" appear first, taking you to the most popular databases for your School.

Search box

We've added a search box so that you can apply filters and search keywords, database name and descriptions to find what it is you need, even if you don't know what it's called.

Better descriptions

We've improved how we describe the databases and can now provide you with links to database help guides, instructions and FAQs, and any special access instructions.

Updated icons

We've reduced the number of icons and modernised them to show you what's relevant to you.

Flags for Australian content

Flags show you what is particularly relevant about databases. We are currently highlighting Australian content, new subscriptions and databases that require you to create a personal account.

Sublists - Open access and Alumni

We now offer two additional lists for Open Access databases and databases for Alumni, in the same new format.

Better access to support information

Not only have we now included specific help and support content in the database descriptions, but our helpful links box provides you with everything you need to get the most out of the Library's online collection. You can also let us know if something isn't working by clicking on 'Report a Problem'. When you filter by subject, you can see subject resources such as library guides and contact details for your school's liaison librarian.

That's it for now, but we always want to hear your feedback. Let us know what you think about the new Library Databases A-Z.
