The University Library provides a range of services designed to help you locate and use resources which can inform your learning. Here are some highlights of the services as you begin your journey:
- AskUs - Ask and find answers about many aspects of the Library and other University support services in our knowledgebase of Frequently Asked Questions
- fiNDit - A new and improved discovery service to enable you to search across our collections and save what you find
- Library spaces which are open for you to visit seven days a week and include:
- Spaces for private study
- Bookable group study rooms
- Copies of set textbooks and other useful print books
- Networked computers, printer/copiers and wi-fi
- An ever increasing collection of books, eBooks, eJournals, research tools and videos which can be accessed and used on or off campus 24 hours a day on any device
- Referencing Guides to support you in using the University's approved referencing styles accurately
- Workshops to help you develop your research and referencing skills
- Video tutorials about how to use our services
- The CheckLIST: Library Information Skills Toolkit which contains six modules to help you build skills in information literacy and critical thinking
- Learning Skills Guides which give you advice about writing, learning strategies, study skills and academic integrity
- Access to LinkedInLearning, a large collection of ‘how to’ video tutorials which can assist you to acquire new skills including the Microsoft 365 applications
- Chat with the Library - An online chat service which is available seven days a week whenever the library is open
- Online appointments with specialist librarians
