When you refine your search to "full text" or "full text online" using the available filters, you are asking the database to only show results that provide access to the full text and exclude those where only a citation or abstract is available.
This is a great filter to add if you are looking for online material, such as journal articles, and you are not eligible for the document delivery service (which is for post-graduate researchers only).
