The databases made available through the library website allow you to find information not freely available on the web.  They search hundreds of thousands of sources and are commonly used for finding scholarly, peer reviewed journal articles.

An A-Z listing of all databases can be found on the eResources link on the Library homepage.  Use the Subject Guides to find links to databases relevant for your area of study.

Some databases cover a range of topics but there are also subject databases that focus on providing resources specific to a particular discipline, for example, nursing or education.

Databases give you control over your search by allowing you to combine multiple search terms and apply filters and limits, for example.  The use of these techniques can make your search for relevant information more effective.
