Student emails are provisioned and managed by Microsoft office 365, not Microsoft Exchange. Office 365 is a cloud based email / calendar.
Unfortunately iCal is not supported with the current student email system (office 365), and unable to be used in conjunction with cloud based email. This is because the technology designed for iCal is different from the Office 365.
We suggest to use web portal to manage your emails and calendar.
