Should I write ABC, BBC or CNN in full in my reference list?

For APA and Chicago, the general rule is to use the full name of an organisation in your reference list or bibliography. However, BBC and ABC are the official names of these organisations so it is correct to give BBC and ABC rather than British Broadcasting Corporation and Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
