For those Students using Windows 7, you will need to manually create a WIFI Profile to allow you to connect to our UNDA Wireless Network.

 

1.       Click on the Wireless Network Service and select “Open Network and Sharing Centre

2.       Select “Manage wireless networks

 

3.       Select “Add

 

4.       Select “Manually create a network profile

 

5.       Enter the details as shown below for your Network name, Security type and Encryption type, the untick “start this connection automatically” and hit “Next

 

 

6.       You have successfully added the UNDA–WiFi profile to your machine. Now you will need to configure the connection settings.

7.       Click on “Change connection settings

 

8.       Untick “Connect automatically” and Tick “Connect even if the network in not broadcasting” as shown below, and click “OK

 

9.       Open “Security” tab, and Click the “Settings“.

 

10.       Untick “Validate server certificate” and click “Configure”.

 

 

11.   Untick “Automatically use my Windows logon name and password” and click “OK”        

       

 

12.   Select “OK

 

13.   Click “OK” again.

 

14.   Click “Close

 

14.   You are now ready to connect to the UNDA WiFi. Select “UNDA-WIFI” and click “Connect”.

 

15.   You are Authentication. Log on with your Student ID and Password, then click “OK

 

16.   You should see Wireless signal notification on the bottom right hand corner of your machine indicating a successful connection as shown below.
