If you already have an article and want to check to see if the journal is peer-reviewed:
- Search for the journal using the 'eJournal - eBook Title Search' link on the library homepage.
- A list of databases holding the journal will be shown. Click on one of them.
- Look for the journal's information page in the database. This will normally indicate whether or not the the journal is peer-reviewed.
If the journal does not come up, an Internet search for the journal title will usually show the website for the journal or the publisher which will normally indicate if it is peer-reviewed.
The easiest way to be sure your article comes from a peer-reviewed journal is to search in Summon or many of the library's databases. They will usually allow you to restrict your search to peer-reviewed journals. However, if the database you are searching does not have a peer-review limit, us the 'eJournal - eBook Title Search' link and follow the procedure above.
