Try the Ebsco database, ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials (find it under "A" in the eResources list linked below).
This database allows you search for articles relating to specifc books, chapters and verses of the Bible.
Once in the database, ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials, click on Scriptures from the menu across the top of the screen:
From here you can select the relevant book of the Bible you are interested in and expand further into chapter and verse, as needed:
Refine the results list by limiting to full-text, scholarly (peer reviewed) journals. You can further tailor the results by adding relevant keywords to the search box.
