Reserve items are high demand materials that have been selected as part of course reading and are usually listed in the course outline. They have loan restrictions (commonly, 2 hours per item) to ensure reasonable access for all students.

Material may be placed in Reserve:

  • At the request of academic staff (who must submit a Request Form via the Recommending & Requesting section of the library website)
  • By library staff (when there is evidence of heavy use)

The Reserve collection is not permanent, and items are regularly added and removed each semester.
