Yes, you must abide by the following limits and the scanning must be for educational purposes:

  • one article from a periodical publication. Two or more articles may be copied where they relate to the same specific subject matter;
  • for a literary or dramatic work contained in a published anthology and comprising not more than 15 pages in the anthology, the whole work may be copied;
  • for all other literary, dramatic, musical or artistic works, a "reasonable portion" of the work may be copied. For a literary, dramatic or musical work, a "reasonable portion" is deemed to be 10% of the pages, or one chapter (whichever is the greater).
