Reserve items are high demand materials that have loan restrictions placed on them.

  • Open Reserve items can be loaned for two-hour periods and taken out of the library
  • Open Reserve items can be used within the library without time restrictions
  • Closed Reserve items must be checked our for two-hour periods and cannot be taken out of the library (during open hours)
  • Both types of Reserve items allow overnight loans.

A library card or ID is required to borrow Reserve items, which must be returned to the Information Desk of the respective library (and not in the return chute). Reserve items which are returned late will incur fines of $2 per hour, per item.
