Q

Would it be possible for an overseas visitor use your library for a few days? If yes, would any fee apply?

I'm a professor from Japan, and currently doing research on the Japanese pearl divers in Broome with emphasis on literature. I'd be happy if I could use your library to read newspapers and look for other materials written on the Japanese people in Broome.

Answer

The Bishop Jobst Library is open to the public and there are no charges for in-house access to materials in our collection.

If you wish to borrow materials we offer a public borrower membership for an annual fee of $40. Please note, however, that not all library materials are available for loan. This particularly applies to materials held in the Broome Local Studies Collection.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
