When would I need to use an electronic database?
The University Library's electronic databases provide students and staff of Notre Dame with access to more than 20,000 journals, as well as e-books, images and other resources, which would not be possible in print.
If you are researching a particular topic, searching our electronic databases is a great way to find relevant journal articles and either read them online or obtain a print copy. You can enter search terms that describe your topic, and retrieve articles which can then be printed, saved or emailed to yourself.
For assistance with using major database platforms such as Ebsco, Informit and JSTOR, please look for the user guides within this AskUs knowledge bank.
