I can't access PDFs or full text documents in some databases, I get a "content is blocked" or similar message.
It is likely that the content has been blocked by the pop-up blocker in your browser. This is a feature in some browsers that lets you limit or block most pop-ups. You can choose the level of blocking you prefer, from blocking all pop-up windows to allowing the pop-ups that you want to see.
To enable access to a database and its content in Internet Explorer 10:
- Select Tools > Pop up blocker > Pop up blocker settings
- Enter the web address (URL) of the database eg. search.ebscohost.com
- Click 'Add'.
- Select the "Click here for options" link in the information bar
- Select "Display Blocked Content" always option.
Please note it is advisable to only select this option for sites that you trust.
