Answer

The Open Reserve consists only  of unit textbooks and lecturers personal copies. In the catalogue, the locations of such items is shown as Closed Reserve (CRES).

This is the most restrictive of the reserve collections.

Closed Reserve items:

  • Can be only used within the Library during opening hours
  • Must be checked out (for two-hour loans)
  • Are available for overnight loan.

Note: Overnight loan is available two hours before the library closes, and MUST be returned one hour after opening the next day - this may be a Saturday or Sunday. For example: If the library closes at 5pm and opens at 9am the next day, you may borrow Reserve items overnight from 3pm onwards and return it before 10am.
