Like all university libraries, the Library imposes a financial penalty upon borrowers who fail to return loans to create an incentive to honour the agreement borrowers make when they loan the materials.

Library fines are as follows:

  • Open and Closed Reserve items - $2.00 per hour per item
  • All other items (Main Collection, AV, short-term loans) - $1.00 per day per item.

These fines are at the lower end of the scale used by university libraries.
