Q

Are there are any PhD theses that I can view?

I am a student at UNDA and wanted to know if there are any PhD theses I can look at to get an idea about size and referencing, especially for the arts.

Answer

You can access examples of both hardcopy and digital UNDA theses from the UNDA Library homepage:

  • For digital theses, search the University's research repository - ResearchOnline (which can be accessed from the links at the bottom of the homepage).
  • For hardcopy theses, use Summon to search for your topic, specifying "Dissertation/Thesis" under "Content Type", and selecting a one of the libraries if your wish.

There are also hundreds of freely available theses online through resources. Trove, the National Library of Australia's free repository of Australian material, has almost a million Australian theses. Please also refer to the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) website for information about finding Australian theses.
