Q

Why can't I book group study room 6 in St Teresa's Library?

I notice you can book no more than two weeks in advance in the calendar, but that room never seems to become available.

Answer

St Teresa's Room 6 is a full computer suite, and the option to book it is not available to students between 8am-5pm. The room is often used throughout semester during the day for library skills instruction, and only library staff are able to book it between those times.

Library classes don't run all day every day, so much of the time the room is available for students to work in.  If the room is booked for teaching, then students are notified of the times via the notice board outside the room.

After 5pm, students may book room 6 for two hour blocks for the purposes of practicing presentations, working together on a project etc.
