Q

Can you please tell me what does Summon cover when searching i.e. is it only looking at Australian sources etc.

I need articles about Australian law.

Answer

Summon is the main access point for all Notre Dame resources, including:

  • Books
  • eBooks
  • eJournals.

It covers both international and Australian content (eg. AGIS Heinonline and Ebsco).

However, it may only partially index LexisNexisAU, WestlawAU, CCH or AustLII, and the full text articles are not directly linked.

Your research task will determine if you start with Summon or Google Scholar. You should also search WestlawAU, LexisNexisAU, AGIS and AustLII individually to make sure you cover all the relevant databases we have availabe for you.

Please refer to the link to our Subject Guide below for some hints on locating law journal articles for your research.
